Volvo small car partner search begins

As per the media reports, the Swedish automaker ‘Volvo’ is aiming to boost-up its small car segment by sharing the designing platforms, engines and higher scale of economics with the new partners. The company is very keen on to developing the collaboration with the new associates that will divide the production costs of the future cars.

The Chief Executive of Volvo, Stefan Jacoby has addressed the press conferencing said that the company is willingly open for sharing platforms, engines and for a general higher scale of economics with new partners. It will be an influential and achieving partnership for the Volvo. Company is thinking over the few names of leading brands, but didn’t made any of them confirmed yet, as the conversation with them is still on.

In order to strengthen its entire assortment, the skilled engineering team of Volvo is constantly working on to develop a new model platform and a modular array of engines. The small cars will be the main focus for the company that will replace the old full-size Volvo XC90 SUV. The all new Volvo V40 compact car will be showcased at the Geneva Motor Show in month of March, he added further.
