With loads of new launches; auto sales to lit up this festive season

In order to put a brake on the accelerating slowdown of the Indian car industry, the car makers are all charged up this festive season to overcome the grim face of sector with the introduction of new vehicles. Approximately 20-24 cars are lined-up for launch nationwide by the car manufacturers this festive season starting from September to October.

The Director for Sales and Marketing at Hyundai Motors India Mr. Arvind Saxena informed that due to higher rate of interest and ever increasing fuel rates there is a bumpy road ahead for the car market. He further added that, only the introduction of new cars is able to draw the car buyer to the showroom.

The stage is set for car makers to clock peak sales this Diwali - Dusshera, with some big launches ahead for instance the homegrown Mahindra’s World SUV, XUV 500, second largest automobile maker in India Hyundai's Eon, along with Toyota Etios sedan and Liva hatchback to launch their cars with diesel as fuel.

The supremacy of Maruti Alto as the bestselling car across the country till date will be at stake, as South Korean auto giant Hyundai unleashes its Eon; the more fuel friendly, broader and much elevated in comparison to Maruti Alto. The car is packed with an 814cc petrol engine with three cylinders. The mini car is re-scheduled to launch in October this year which was previously listed to a 2012 launch. The awaited mini car may fall in the price bracket of INR 2.6 lakh to INR 3.7 lakh.
