Deliveries of Jeep Wrangler Rubicon to Begin From March 15, 2020
Jeep India has silently added one new variant in the fleet of its powerful SUV Wrangler. Christened as Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, the power-packed SUV is launched with the price tag of Rs. 68.94 lakh (ex-showroom price, India), thus making it almost Rs. 5 lakh expensive than its regular variant. The deliveries of the Wrangler Rubicon are reported to be initiated from March 15, 2020.
Mechanically, the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon is empowered with 2.0 liter, 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine boosting the power of 268 bhp and the torque of 400 Nm. The transmission duties will be performed by an eight-speed automatic gearbox and offered RockTrac 4X4 all-wheel-drive system. Speaking about the off-road efficiencies, it adorns features like an electronic locking system at the front and rear axles, a two-speed transfer case with 4:1 “4LO” low-range gear ratio, and full-time torque management system. The ground clearance has also been increased to 217 mm from 215 mm. Aesthetically, it looks similar to its existing version but still carries the “Rubicon” logo on the front fascia. Continuing the existing fold-down windshield, removable hard roof, and doors, the Wrangler Rubicon will be offered with five color options of Firecracker Red, Black and Bright White, Billet Silver, and Granite Crystal.
Inside the cabin, it is equipped with an 8.4-inch infotainment system that supports connectivity with smartphone and navigation, dual-zone climate control system, keyless entry, Alpine audio system with 9 speakers and all-weather subwoofer and 552-watt amplifier, leather-wrapped steering wheel with multiple controls, and many more. On the safety front, it adorns the features like Anti-lock braking system, hill start assist system, hill descent control system, electronic stability control system, rear camera, front and rear parking sensors, electronic rail mitigation, and trailer sway control system.
