Maruti Alto 800 demo cars can now be spotted at dealerships

With festive season inching closer, the country’s largest car maker Maruti Suzuki is aggressively preparing to debut their all new Maruti Alto 800 in the Indian market. Amidst the high competition scenario in the small car segment, the company doesn’t want to leave any stone unturned in making sure that new Alto 800 receives a strong opening. As many of you must be aware, the new Alto 800 is scheduled to be launched in the country on 16th October’12, the company has started sending demo cars to their wide range of dealership across the country.

This means, the dealerships are likely to start offering test drive to the interested customers very soon. Bookings of the new Alto have already been started and sales counters of the firm are flooded with the booking requests and inquiries. The Indian auto giant will launch the new Alto in petrol and CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) versions and the new generation car will be based on the platform of existing Alto that comes with 800cc engine.

It is to be mentioned here that the length of new has also been shortened as compared to the existing version without compromising with the interior space. As a result, the new Alto 800 is claimed to be much more spacious as against previous generation version, despite being smaller in length. The use of smaller overhang at the front and rear and scooped seatbacks play a crucial role in making the car considerably spacious from inside. In a bid to increase the open and airy feeling inside the car, the new Alto Interior hosts lighter color dashboard.

New Alto will come powered by a highly efficient 3 cylinder 796cc engine, which will be consuming comparatively lesser fuel. Besides a higher fuel economy, the torque figure has also been boosted by 15% to 60 Nm, which indicates that company engineers have worked hard in the direction of making the new Alto 800 more drivable on Indian roads. As far as price tag is concerned, the new Alto 800 price is expected to be offered in the range of Rs 2.5 to 3.5 lakh where its major rival will be Hyundai’s small car Eon.
