Maruti Alto 800 launch tomorrow, bookings on

The Maruti Alto 800 is just a day away and the Indian auto industry seems to get a fresh start after the not so encouraging tenure till now. The new Maruti small car is expected to repeat the history created by the Maruti 800. New engine, new design and an all new Maruti car is what the Alto 800 is. The new car is going to test its mettle against the smaller Tata Nano as well as other cars in the segment including the Chevrolet Spark and Hyundai Eon. It could also greatly dampen the Maruti Alto and Maruti Alto K10 sales as well, predict the auto industry experts.

The Maruti Alto 800 price is expected to start at Rs 2.45 lakh and in all probability it will be an instant hit as the launch has been scheduled with the start of the auspicious festive season tomorrow. Meanwhile, bookings for the car are already on and as per sources information, there has been tremendous response from car buyers.  

The Alto 800 reviews and first impressions by sources have been quite encouraging and the car is all set to rock the small car segment in India. With this new car, Maruti will be yet again proving that no other car maker could launch a car that is the heartthrob of the Indians. Notably, there have been attempts to launch low cost small car by other players such as Tata in the form of Nano but the tall boy car seem to crave for a 10k monthly sales figure. Meanwhile, the Renault - Nissan – Bajaj’s joint venture to produce an ultra low cost car has been trashed and there is no possibility to revive it.  

From the buyers perspective, the Alto 800 has the perfect recipe. Small size, ultra high mileage engine, built in features such as power steering, air conditioner and some safety features on top models is what the entry level car buyer in India wants and this car will supply the same happily. This car is believed to be the biggest hit of this year, even more than that of the Maruti Ertiga.
