Maruti Alto 800 launches in Chile
Maruti Alto 800, after becoming the best selling small car in India has made its presence in Chile market. India's largest carmaker, MSIL (Maruti Suzuki India Limited) has started the exporting of this popular small car to Chile. In that market launched version of the Alto 800 is left hand drive and offered in three variants. Official importer of the Alto 800 in Chile is Derco which is already importing many of brands' cars.
The new Maruti Alto 800 has been offered to Chile customers in three variants like base GL, DLX and the DLX with AC. All the variants are loaded with a 0.8.L, 3 cylinder 796cc petrol engine generating max power of 47bhp and the engine is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. Maruti Alto 800 GL variant is fully basic and its lakes Air Conditioner but CD/MP3 player has been offered as standard feature in all variants.
Meanwhile, the two top-end variants like DLX and DLX with AC come equipped with power steering and central locking. There are no safety features like airbags and ABS for any variant. In interiors, its gets left hand drive steering wheel and rests are same as the Indian version. The Alto 800 has been offered in six exterior colors such as India available version of the vehicle. Maruti Suzuki India is already exporting the Alto K10 and Maruti Swift Dzire to Chile which are reporting well response.
