Maruti Alto 800 to reach 20k bookings mark soon

The small car Maruti Alto 800 is creating big wonders in the Indian car market. And why not when Maruti has imbibed in it the same genes of being an instant hit as it had infused in Maruti 800. It is known that the just launched car has crossed 10k pre launch booking figure and it is expected that the figure is going to cross the 20k mark within a week. This is believed to be immense success and this is going to force Maruti to re-revise its sales growth this year. Notably, Maruti had projected that it will be able to grow by only 5 percent this year following the Manesar hiccup and the market conditions.  

The bookings for the new Maruti small car is on since October 1 and now that its price is declared it is expected that the sales with see a sudden upward swing. The Maruti Alto 800 price starts at Rs 2.44 lakh and at this price; the car comes loaded with breathtaking features and comfort that were unknown in cars of this genre. The top of the line model has an option of airbag as well for those who prefer safety first. Though the car is preferably a city car but sensing its class and comfort at low price, Maruti has kept the airbag as an option.  

This Maruti car will be straightaway dealing with the Hyundai Eon and the Tata Nano which are its prime rivals. But the availability in CNG version and that too with close to 30 kmpl mileage on CNG, the car becomes the bet buy for those living in cities where the eco fuel is available. In addition to this, on petrol as well, the car returns a strikingly well mileage of 22.74 kmpl and this is well above the Eon and just short of Nano. But looking at the proportions and the size as well as comfortable seating it is expected that the car will have an upper hand in terms of sales.
