Maruti cars price to increase next week, the Alto 800 coming on 16th October
Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (MSIL), the largest car maker of India, is going to increase the car prices following week. Still the price hike in coming week by MSIL is a mystery and we might get the statement of price increase from the company as and when the prices are increased. It might be due to the depreciating value of Indian currency in the international market that has forced MSIL to raise input costs thereby increasing price. Although, the company has tried a bit to overcome these currency fluctuations by increasing exports and localization, but unfortunately these measures have not been much effective to control the price hike.
Meanwhile MSIL is also going to launch its much awaited small car, the Maruti Alto 800 on coming 16th October. This new small car with carry stylish looks will also have 15 per cent increased mileage than the old Alto F&D and will also feature improved interiors with more space. It is expected that the company might introduce the Alto 800 to fill the gap between the Maruti Alto F&D and the Maruti Alto K10. From the outfit and added features, the Alto 800 might prove to be an ‘Eon Killer’ on the domestic shores.

Though, the Hyundai Eon has not given any tough competition to the Alto F&D but it has offered another choice in the entry level hatchback segment that has fluctuated the sales of Alto to an extent. Now with the launch Alto 800, the company would be expecting to regain the lost glory in the domestic auto market. To snatch the sales from the Eon, Maruti is looking forward to introduce its new anticipated Alto 800 with airbags, well-heeled interiors and entirely fresh outfit.
In stats of fuel efficiency too, the Alto 800 will have improved ARAI fuel economy of 22.74 Kmpl compared to Eon’s 21.1 Kmpl mileage. In addition, the Alto 800 will also be offered in CNG-Petrol variants that will be cheaper in running in comparison to Hyundai Eon’s LPG-Petrol variants. You can certainly expect that Maruti will be bidding higher on the Maruti Alto 800 to beat its rival Eon in the domestic region.
