Maruti to pep up production with two new facilities in Gujarat!
It’s time now that Maruti Suzuki India should work harder to sustain its top position in the Indian car bazaar. The company has decided to establish two manufacturing unit in Gujarat. The parent company, Suzuki has plans to focus on the Asian car market right now. Therefore, to pep up the production and meet the high demand for its cars in India, opening up two facilities sounds like a wise decision. Gujarat has become the hub for car makers and there is no surprise if Maruti wish to open its new facilities there. It is quite obvious that the investment will be huge. Apparently, about 4000 crore will be invested for the first phase that would be utilized for the construction and land preparations.
It is quite known that demand for Maruti cars, including Maruti Swift, Maruti Swift Dzire, Maruti Alto 800 etc is very high. And meeting up this soaring demand here is becoming difficult day by day. These cars have high waiting period and setting up more manufacturing plants will certainly reduce this waiting period. However, right now the company is only planning to open up in Gujarat, which means everything is on paper right now.
Recently, the car maker also raised the prices of its cars by up to Rs. 20000. The reason behind increasing the car prices were high input costs and endless fluctuation of Indian rupee value. These things pushed the car maker to hike the car prices.Coming back to the plans of manufacturing facilities, the car maker is doing its homework right and hunting for the land keeping in mind the capacity and the number of cars it would produce in that facility. we hope that the construction of the plants commence as soon as possible.
