Mitsubishi Mirage launched in Thailand, India launch soon
Mitsubishi that has been in India with only a few offerings till now has launched the India bound small car Mitsubishi Mirage in Thailand. Notably, the global design compact car has been developed to cater to the needs of high potential markets such as India and China as these are priced less and are more fuel economic as well. In addition to it these take very well care of the tailpipe emissions. In India, the Mitsubishi Mirage is expected to be priced at Rs 4.5 lakh and is hoped to be launched by year end.
The Mirage small car will be produced at the recently set up factory in Thailand. This is the biggest plant by Mitsubishi in its operations outside its homeland Japan. Since the Mirage is being produced there, it is being launched in Thailand first followed by Indian and China launch. The car maker will also be taking Mirage to Europe and other markets subsequently.
Small car Mirage is basically a new generation car that stresses more on fuel economy and environment which are the two most needed things that one looks for before buying a car. Now available in 1.2 L, three cylinder petrol engine model that outputs 78 PS and a peak torque of 100 Nm, the Mirage has the latest DOHC MIVEC engine technology in place. In addition to a powerful and high efficiency engine, the Mirage is built using the RISE*3 body which is highly resistant to impacts and thus ensure occupants safety.
The new engine technology enables the small car by Mitsubishi to have high efficiency and the aerodynamic body assures that there is little resistance by the car. The five seater small car’s interior presents a class leading quality. With the use of light weight materials, the Mirage is lighter than a normal hatchback and thus is high on fuel efficiency.
