Mitsubishi to introduce the European Mirage this month

The Japanese car maker, Mitsubishi last year unveiled the Mirage sub-compact car for the Asian car markets at Tokyo Motor Show. In order to attract the European enthusiasts, the company is all set to introduce Mirage at the Paris Auto Show which will be held later this month. The European model of Mirage sub-compact car will not only witness trim changes, but also it is speculated to be titled with a new name. It is also expected that the car maker, Mitsubishi could phase out its Colt Supermini and could bring in the new Mirage in its place.

Although further details of this car are not yet disclosed by the company but it is said that the looks of European Mirage would be somewhat similar like its Asian siblings. As per the close company sources, the European Mirage would be powered by 1.0 liter 3 cylinder MIVEC inline. This model will also be mated to a five speed manual transmission and is said to have the Auto Stop & Go feature. In addition, this sub-compact car will be environment friendly in many aspects and it will have CO2 emissions of just 92 grams per kilometre.

As far as the dimensions are concerned, the European Mirage will be 3,710 mm long, 1,665 mm wide and will have height of 1,490 mm. As per the company, the European variants of this global compact car would deliver easy to drive manoeuvrability and high performance along with ample of cabin space for high comfort levels. However, the launch of the car is expected to be somewhere around February, next year and further details are expected to be revealed out by the company at the same time.
