New Hyundai i10 launch round the corner, complete makeover expected

The industry is waiting for a game changer in the hatchback segment in India and it seems that the new Hyundai i10 will be the one that will bring the change. The 2014 edition of the i10 is about to arrive and the greatest update regarding this is that the car is expected to get a diesel engine apart from new styling and interior appearance. The new Hyundai car is being tested worldwide. The new i10 will also debut a new 1 litre petrol engine that is high on mileage and performance as well. The price of the new i10 is expected to be a little over the current generation and it see a launch sometime this year.

The diesel engine under the hood of this new car will be 1.1 litre CRDi turbo diesel engine. This engine will return high mileage with peak power output somewhere around 75 bhp. This diesel engine will be going to spruce up the sales of this car by leaps and bounds as the Indian car market is fanatic about diesel cars and specially small cars such as the i10. Already the car is selling in huge numbers and is among those super cool cars that get huge response in the country and the addition of the diesel option will give it further boost.  

The new Fluidic design philosophy will be extensively used on the new car and this will include it among the latest design Hyundai cars. Once in the car will be competing with Honda Brio, Chevrolet Beat and others and is expected to get a price tag of around Rs 4 lakh to Rs 5 lakh. Some initial renderings of the new i10 suggest that the car will have a similar styling to that of the Hyundai i20.
