New Hyundai i10 spied, India launch expected

It seems to be time for Hyundai to go for a makeover of its best selling hatchback Hyundai i10. The car maker will be launching the new Hyundai i10 soon. The car has been spied recently in Europe and it is almost certain that with the new car in, Hyundai expects to recoup the damage it had to borne in December. In the last month of 2012, the carmaker had to face over 9 percent loss in sales and this is a big blow to it specially when over seven of the prominent car makers in the country have suffered losses recently. Even Maruti Suzuki barely missed being in red and posted only 3.2 percent growth that cannot be called to be decent one. Now in this scenario, Hyundai will be doing every bit of it to put sales back on track and 2014 Hyundai i10 launch is one of the most crucial things it would do.

In India alone, Hyundai sold as many as over 90k i10s and this means that it is a small car that people prefer over Maruti Alto K10 following its tall boy like design and raised seating besides performance and mileage. It is believed that the Hyundai i10 diesel is also in the making and very soon it will be launched in the country. Then the i10 will be able to transform the segment fully as it will then be the most affordable diesel hatchback in the country after Tata Indica Vista. It is said that the i10 diesel launch could be preponed soon after the launch of new i10 petrol most probably at the Geneva Motor Show.

Meanwhile, the new i10 will be taking care of the market that has taken a U turn in favor of petrol powered cars. Currently in the test phase, the new i10 is believed to transform the small car segment as a whole as Hyundai is packing the car with so many new features and fluidic design that the car buyer would buy it in a single look. Besides the front profile and the rear looks, the car has end number of changes. The width is said to have been decreased a little bit and thus the roof has also been redesigned.
