Apart from other design changes the most prominent change on the new i10 is the front appearance. The car maker has given it a hint of the immense power under the hood by making it appear somewhat like an Aston Martin. The grille shape is exactly like the one on Aston Martin cars and it seems that Hyundai has decided to make its cars look like some of the most powerful ones. The 2013 i10 is available with blacked out pillars and tinted headlamps besides a full black grille. The power department remains the same and the power motors remains the same 1L petrol, 1.2L and 1.1L diesel options. The power delivery by the petrol motor remains at 69 hp and 85 hp.

Two of the prime rivals of new i10 are Chevrolet Spark (known as Chevrolet Beat in India) and Skoda Citigo (The highly awaited entry level Skoda car in India). The new i10 test mule has been spotted in India and some parts of Europe and it is all set for a launch sometime next year. It is believed that the 1.1 L diesel engine will also be translated in India as well where there has been a surge in demand for entry level diesel cars.
