New Maruti Alto 800 launch on 15th September

The new Maruti 800 or call it Maruti Alto 800 is about to debut on this September 15. The new car from Maruti will be replacing the Maruti 800 that has died an untimely death due to the stringent pollution norms. As per the latest information about this upcoming Maruti small car, it is a mix of the features and looks of the present Maruti 800 and the Alto. The car has been designed especially for Indian market and upon success in here, it will be marketed in other parts of the globe. The new Maruti 800 price is expected to be Rs 2 lakh to Rs 2.5 lakh and the final launch will be this Diwali. Maruti has planned a big Diwali this year.

The car is expected to be more fuel efficient than the Alto or the Maruti 800 and will be offering a whole new hatchback styling. Equipped with hexagonal grille and swept back headlamps, the car will have a high ground clearance and will also have a tall boy car appearance. The car is believed to be having a mass appeal as its price will be less than Rs 2.5 lakh. At this price the car will be giving a tough time to Tata Nano. But being a Maruti car, the Alto 800 will be highly affordable.

The interiors of the new Alto 800 will be totally refreshed but some design cues from the Alto are expected to influence the new car as well. The new car will have totally refreshed central console and it is expected to have vehicle information system as well. To be offered in petrol only version, the car will be a little sluggish in sales initially as the petrol cars are not in demand. A diesel model could make it a hit in the segment.
