New Maruti cars to launch in India, 800cc diesel powered small car in the making

Come 2014 and there will be a huge demand for Maruti cars. Why? It is because, the car maker is going to launch new cars, facelifts and an all new Maruti 800cc diesel car in the next years. This said, the car maker will then strengthen its top position in the car market. Like other car makers, 2013 is quite crucial for the car maker as 2012 has ended with a grim scenario with only 3.2 percent increase in sales. Thus, like other seven car makers including Tata, Toyota and others, it is time for Maruti to show some action.

Experts believe that December sales data and only 3.2 percent increase in sales compared to December 2011 is shocking as Maruti had some of the best launches in last quarter of 2012. The Maruti Alto 800 is the one that could single handedly take Maruti to any positives but it is a wonder why it has failed to outdo sales. Some believe that the situation could been more worse if Alto 800 and Ertiga sales had not improved it. Meanwhile, now that the grim phase is over and the car maker is heading for a good start in January, it is expected that with new car launches on cards, Maruti will be able to perform better and better this year.

The line up for the next two years could include new Maruti Swift (could be Maruti Swift Sport as well), new Maruti SX4 based crossover, new Maruti Wagon R, new Maruti Zen Estilo in order to revitalize its sales in India. Reports also suggest that there will also be a new makeover of the Maruti A Star coming in the next two years. However, the most important of all these launches will be the small diesel car that Maruti is rumored to soon to manufacture. As per reports, this diesel car will have an 800 cc turbo diesel engine developed by the Japanese engineers and this car will be straightaway competing with Tata Nano Diesel or simply will be beating Nano diesel out of competition.
