New Nissan Micra Primo Edition launched
The Indian arm of the Japanese auto giant Nissan Motors has launched the new Nissan Micra Primo Edition officially in the Indian market. The launch of new special edition Micra has been kept low-profile, unlike the other car launches of the company in the past. The new Micra Primo Edition is equipped with a number of new features at both interior and exterior fronts.
The decision of launching new edition of their popular Micra model has been seen as a good decision among the industry experts as the festive season is around the corner, the move will certainly help in boosting Micra sales. It will enable the company to compete more promptly with the rivals like, Hyundai i20, Maruti Swift, Volkswagen Polo, Renault Pulse and Honda Jazz.

All variants of Micra have not been offered with Micra Primo Edition pack. While in the petrol version the XL and XV variants are available with this special edition, in diesel version XV and XV Premium variants are offered with new Primo Edition pack. The major highlights of the new Micra Primo Edition include double din audio system with USB support, fascinating ‘PRIMO’ body decals on a pearl white body, parking sensors and indicators at rear, remote control for outside rear view mirror, etc.

You will be getting all these premium upgrades for a moderate price hike of Rs 22,000 over the regular version of the car. So if you want to calculate the price of any Micra Primo Edition variant, just add Rs 22,000 over and above the original price of that variant.
At present, the petrol version of Micra is powered by a 1.2L engine which is capable of generating a peak power of 80 bhp. On the other hand, the 1.5L K9K turbo diesel engine which comes coupled with a fixed generation turbocharger delivers a peak power of 65 Bhp along with a peak torque of 160 Nm.
