New variant added in Tata Zest bestowed with AMT system
After successful launch of Zest compact sedan in Indian car market last year, domestic car maker Tata Motors has extended the family of Zest by adding one more variant placed above the top end variant in diesel trim. Named as Tata Zest XTA, the new variant has been launched with price tag of Rs. 8.07 lakh (ex-showroom price, New Delhi). The newly introduced variant is coated with AMT transmission system and equipped with 1.3 litre multijet diesel engine boosting the power of 90 PS at 400 rpm and torque of 200 Nm at 1750-3000 rpm. The newly introduced variant is said to deliver the fuel efficient performance of 21.58 kmpl.
Other features offered in newly introduced variant includes automatic climate controls, dual airbags, adjustable driver seats, voice commands, Harman Kardon Connectnext touchscreen infotainment system, DRLS and rear defogger. It is reported that the bookings of new variant has been started by the Tata dealers across the country and is having the waiting period from two to four weeks. Apart from diesel trim the compact sedan Zest is also available petrol version that is empowered with 1.2 litre Revotron engine generating the power of 90 PS and torque of 140 Nm.
