Tata Zest Scores Four Stars in Global NCAP Test
This news might bring a smile on faces of Tata workers who might be discussing on internal matters related with management of domestic car maker Tata Motors during lunch and tea-breaks. According to recent reports in endeavors of strengthening its position in Indian car market, this news might be considered as booster for Tata Motors. It is reported that its compact sedan Zest has succeed in scoring 4 stars in recently conducted Global NCAP crash test. Reports also reveal that with this achievement Tata Zest has become the first compact sedan in Indian country to score such high points in any crash test organized to measure safety offered to passengers in case of any crash.

It would be interested to know that the achievement of Zest becomes more important due to the fact that where its one trim failed in scoring any star in offering security to adult occupants except one star for offering protection to child occupants, its another trim succeed in scoring four stars surprisingly washing the failure of its first trim. It is reported that the new vehicle structure will be adopted by company in developing the upcoming trims of this compact sedan. During the test two trims of Zest were considered one was the standard trim without airbags while another one was offered with option of airbags. Commenting on the results shown by Tata Zest Mr. David Ward, Secretary General of Global NCAP said, that with Zest Indian car maker Tata Motors has proved that how Indian car manufacturers can enhance their vehicles with latest technical features. He also said that after assessing the results achieved by Zest, they request Tata Motors to consider integration of air-bags as necessary step in all variants of this compact sedan.
