Tata Zest coming on August 12, 2014
Couple of days back we reported that domestic car making company Tata Motors has initiated the production of its highly anticipated compact sedan Zest at its production plant. Now it is reported that the car maker is all set to launch the compact sedan to Indian car market on August 12, 2014. Going through the positive response received from all segments of Indian car Industry during its unveil at Indian Auto Expo, Tata Motors has high expectations from its new initiative. The new Zest is special product for company in various aspects apart from being empowered with new Revotron engine the Zest is quite different from company’s conventional design philosophy.

Zest would be launched in both petrol and diesel variants. The petrol variant will be enriched with the all new 1.2 litre Revotron petrol engine generating the power of 88.7 bhp and torque of 140Nm. It will be coated with five speed manual transmission system and not with AMT transmission system. The diesel variant will be mated with 1.3 litre Quadrajet diesel engine boosting the power of 88.7 horsepower a nd torque of 200Nm. It will be coated with five speed manual gearbox or F-Tronic AMT system.
After launch Zest will enhance the family of compact sedans like Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire, Xcent from Hyundai, Amaze from Honda and others. It would be interested to know after Tata Zest the new infant in this family would be Figo from Ford Motors.
