New Volkswagen Beetle launched, VW to officially launch Porsche brand in India
Volkswagen’s modish Beetle has been rolled out in a new avatar; the ABT Sportsline Company has rendered a new look to the Beelte. The upgraded Beelte is powered by a 2.0L engine that will now pump out a tad more power that is close to 240 bhp than compared to earlier 200 bhp. The reworked Volkswagen Beetle apart from sporting an upgraded engine also dons a new sporty look. The new ABT Beetle now comes with a new front spoiler, retouched headlight covers, oval tailpipes, modish alloys available in 18” to 20”.

The German auto cos, Volkswagen recently asserted that it will be individually importing and distributing Porsche cars in India. Speculations regarding Volkswagen mulling to bring in Porshce brand in India has been hovering since November. Clearing the air, Volkswagen has now proclaimed the launch of Porsche brand in India. Until now, Precision Motors, had been importing Porshce cars in India, though it will still continue to sell and service Porsche cars via its racket of showrooms and service centres scattered across India.

Volkswagen India, along with the new distribution channel for Porsche brand will also structure the Indian subsidiary for Porsche AG. Mr. Anil Reddy who has an immense experience in the Indian car souk will be leading the functioning of Porsche India. In India Porsche will bring in the Porsche 911 range, Porsche Panamera, Porsche Cayenne and Porsche Boxter / Cayman range. Amongst the upcoming cars still under development, Porsche Macan SUV and the diesel avatar of Panamera are likely to come to India.
