Nissan cars Facebook fan base crosses 5 lakh mark
A car’s popularity never hides. If not by publicly, it spreads through the word of mouth. The latest example is Japanese car maker Nissan. With some of the finest offerings in India including Nissan Micra hatchback, Nissan Sunny sedan prominently, the brand has recently crossed 50k fans on Facebook. The Nissan New Star of India Campaign is also gaining volume of fans. Not only Nissan but other car makers are also using social media site such as Facebook and others to increase fan following and disseminating information about their cars. In this row, Nissan will premier its first movie New Star of India on Facebook. The movie had auditions on Facebook and was shot at Ramoji Rao film city in Hyderabad.

Of course, Nissan has also been able to tap the fan following of Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor, who is also the brand ambassador of the company. Notably, the company is able to get this 50k fan following figure in just four months after it has launched the online campaign for auditions for the movie. As per the official communication by Nissan India, over 20 people were selected to co star Ranbir Kapoor after their auditions on the Facebook. The applicants had to upload short clips on Nissan Facebook page and people were asked to vote. At the next stage there were eminent judges who finalized the names of 20 people.

With Nissan Facebook page having 50k followers does mean that it has more on the roads as well. Some have owned a Nissan car and some are soon to own it, while some dream of it. Moreover, in India, Nissan cars did well with Nissan Micra diesel that always remained the best seller with a recent spike in sales of Nissan Sunny sedan as well.
