Nissan cars to set new standards of quality and safety

Automaker Nissan is known for its engines and the comfort and safety that it imbibes in its cars. Now in order to improve the quality of its cars, the car maker has hired auto analyst and engineer David Champion in order to revise the quality standards of all its cars – Nissan Micra, Nissan Sunny and Nissan Teana besides Nissan X-Trail and others. The car maker is in the process of launching new cars worldwide and wants to ensure that all the cars are top notch in quality and in fact set new benchmark in terms of quality. In India, the car maker is soon to launch the Nissan Evalia MPV and is also hoped to introduce the first car out of its low cost brand Datsun in early 2014.

David Champion is known for his expertise in assessing the quality and safety features in products, specially cars and prior to this assignment David was with a well known magazine and was the authoritative person for such assessments. Nissan believes that by the valuable contribution by Nissan, the car maker will be able to ensure high level of customer satisfaction rating and en route its cars will soon become some of the best cars in terms of quality and safety. In US, the car maker is soon to expand its portfolio and will be add five cars in over a year from now. Currently it is offering Nissan Altima, Nissan Pathfinder and Nissan Leaf electric car besides twenty other cars.

The new Altima is a close rival of Toyota Camry and Honda Accord in US and is known for its safety and powerful engine plus plush interiors. Currently, the car maker has a meek presence with only 8 percent market share and it hopes to increase it to over 15 percent in the next 15 months by launching five new models. Currently holding the 7th position, Nissan believes that by stepping up the quality and safety standards, the car maker will be able to strengthen its base in US and will also help it improve customer satisfaction ratio.
