Nissan Micra’s 30th birthday bash all set at the Paris Motor Show

The small car Nissan Micra by the Japanese auto maker is soon to complete the age of 30 years. A celebration to mark the occasion will be held in September this year at the Paris Motor Show and there Nissan will be showcasing the three generations of Micra all together. Notably, the Paris Auto Saloon is a motor show that is organized every two years and this year it will take place on 2012 Paris Motor Show will take place from 29 September to 14 October 2012. This motor show is most important festival for cars where all car amkers of the world pitch in their new car debuts.

In order make the birthday more sensational, Nissan will be choosing the three cars from among the existing car owners and these will be presented at the Hall 8 of the Show in a refurbished form. Also, the each of the selected three Nissan Micra previous generation car owners will also be handed over the keys of the latest generation Micra. In addition to this, the over the years changes and makeovers en route will also be displayed at the venue and the ceremony is expected to be attended by some celebrities as well.

Meanwhile, back in India, the fourth generation Micra small car has done pretty well for the car maker that has been doing well with the launch of the Nissan Sunny. The Micra is available in diesel and petrol avatars and the Micra diesel model powered by the highly dependable dCi engine is quite famous and constitutes a major chunk of the overall Micra car sales in the country. The diesel Micra is only offered in India and all round the world the car is offered in petrol with a supercharged engine option. The car is locally produced in India by Nissan at a plant jointly owned by it and Renault.
