Nissan Motors sales dip 38 percent this October
Cementing its presence in almost all major market segments in the country, Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd. (NMIPL), the wholly owned subsidiary of the Japanese auto giant has reportedly suffered a decline in the sales volume in the month of October this year. The skid in the sales volume amounted to 38 percent with sales standing at 1,862 units as compared to 2,990 units sold in October 2011. On the other hand, the year-to-date sales comparison from April to October showcases a jump of 88 percent from 12,570 units sold last year to 23,642 units sold this year.

Major sales were pooled by its ubercool Nissan Micra hatchback and the suave Nissan Sunny sedan followed by marginal sales volume contributed by its compact crossover SUV, Nissan X-Trail, high-end sedan Nissan Teana and the speedy sportscar Nissan 370Z. In a bid to boost up the sales, the mega launch of the contemporary urban MPV (multi purpose vehicle), Nissan Evalia ahead of the festive season in the country has been piling up large number of bookings this season.

While other automakers are offering enticing promotional and festival offers and incentives, Nissan Motors India has launched an innovatively designed festival bonanza luring customers of winning a chance weekly to get refund on the purchase or a whopping 500 gm gold.
In the month of October this year, the company also launched an exclusive edition ‘Primo’ of its highly successful hatchback, Nissan Micra. This limited edition Micra Primo’s launch was graced by the presence of the celebrity youth icon, Ranbir Kapoor commemorating his two successful years of bonding with the brand Nissan.

Micra Primo incorporates class leading premium features such as intricate ‘Primo’ body decals on the pearl white body tone, rear view remote controlled mirrors, rear parking sensors with indicators, LED lights with ORVM mirrors and double DIN high end audio system with USB port. The Micra Primo is tagged with a price higher by Rs. 22,000 than the existing Micra.

This is good that Sunny is affordable and specious sedan but peoples are going to specious hatchbacks thus, to boost the sales mark Nissan should bring out an specious hatchbacks on the base of Sunny sedan.
