Nissan Motors' sales up in September
In a statement, Nissan Motor India Private Limited (NMIPL), has said that its sales have risen by 73 percent to 2,176 units, in the month of September, this year. Last year, the automobile company had sales of 1,256 units, according to the statement. The Japanese company is riding high on the success of its small car Nissan Micra. Nissan Micra is available in both Petrol and Diesel variants, and it is priced in the range of Rs. 4.05- Rs. 6.04 Lacs.
The automobile company registered sales of 1,475 units of Nissan Micra, in September, this year, which made it enjoy 25 percent increase in the figure, from last year's 1,183 units, in the same month. The rest of the sales were SUV Nissan X-Trail, sedan Nissan Teana and Nissan 3702 (sports car), according to the statement.
The automobile company's total sales figure also included the first few days' sales of its new sedan Nissan Sunny, according to the company. Nissan Sunny was launched on 20th September and till now the company has had bookings for 659 units of the mid-size sedan, which would be delivered from later this week. Nissan Sunny has been launched in three variants- XE, XL and XV. XE is the base variant, and it is priced at Rs. 5.78 lacs, whereas the XL variant carries price tag of Rs. 6.69 lacs, and the top-end variant XV is priced at Rs. 7.68 lacs.
