Volkswagen Beetle website gets four Webby Awards
The automobile giant, Volkswagen has bagged four awards in the online industry for its 21st Century Beetle portal. Volkswagen Beetle has been entitled with this award for the best auto-portal due to its best graphical designing, best user friendliness, commendable navigation and featuring. The Webby Awards are the prestigious international awards that are given to the portals for their interactive advertising & media, online videos & film and mobile apps. These awards were given today in New York.

Webby Awards are presented by the International Academy of the Digital Arts and Sciences. These awards are also known as the “Oscars of the Internet” and are presented every year. It is the Web community across the globe which decides and nominates the winners of People’s Voice Award, based on the public favourites. In the category of Best Automobile Website 2012, it was the Volkswagen Beetle that stood on top.

The Director of Marketing, Volkswagen Group, Luca de Meo stated that a distinct car has to be presented in a unique style. He added that the Volkswagen Beetle website has been intelligently designed to represent the car in the best manner to the enthusiasts. He also commented that they are delighted that the company’s creativity has led to the innovative communication style on web and has also enabled the VW to bag four Webby Awards.
