Volkswagen to offer Ameo with option of two engines
Volkswagen Ameo, the first ever compact sedan by German car maker has gained huge popularity quite early before its launch. The compact sedan has been already unveiled globally by car maker in India by car maker immediately after showcasing the same during the Indian Auto Expo 2016. According to recent reports with an objective to make the compact sedan a huge hit in market car maker is not leaving any stone unturned and therefore apart from promoting it in metro cities it is also concentrating on Tier II and Tier III markets. The expectations of car maker from Ameo can be witnessed from the fact that with its launch Volkswagen speculates that it will succeed in enhancing its profits up-to 15 as compared to last year.
Developed on the platform used Polo hatchback and Vento sedan, Ameo will be offered with two engine options of 1.2 litre three cylinder and 1.5 litre four cylinder diesel engine and mated with five speed manual and seven speed DSG transmission system. The compact sedan will bestow fleet of various remarkable features in form of rain sensing wipes, MirrorLink infotainment system, cruise control, followed by front airbags for both front seat passengers, along ABS on all trims as standard features.
According to sources of car maker Ameo has been developed especially for Indian car market and therefore its carries all those features which Indian buyers expect from their car. It would be interested to know that Ameo has been developed by company at its production unit located at Chakan in Maharashtra. After launch in market Ameo will compete with Ford Figo Aspire, Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire, Hyundai Xcent and Honda Amaze. The bookings of Ameo have been commenced by car maker since May 12, 2016.
