Volvo V40 Cross Country launch in June

Swedish car maker Volvo is getting immense response in the country. In 2012 alone the car maker has attained over 150 percent growth and enthused by this immense growth potential in the country, it is soon to expand its portfolio. The name of Volvo V40 Cross Country is on the top and it will be launched in June this year. Currently the car maker has two sedan and two SUV offering in place namely, Volvo S60, Volvo S80 sedans and Volvo XC60, Volvo XC90 SUVs. Looking at the current market conditions as well as the launch of new models, the car maker expects a growth of around 35-50 percent growth in the current year. The soon to be launched V40 Cross Country is a C-segment hatchback and it will be the entry level Volvo car in India.

Believed to be in the price range of around Rs 25 lakh to Rs 30 lakh, the car will make its debut where the likes of Audi and BMW cars hold their dominion. The car will be in straight competition with BMW X1 and the Audi Q3 which are the best selling models of these two German car giants. Thus it will be straightaway a German-Swedish fight in the segment. Also in the due course of time, Volvo will be launching new cars that will be making the market sway in favor of it in the near future.

The car maker has set Asia as its target as it is currently getting huge response for its cars here and as per the reports, it will be commencing production in China soon and it is seriously thinking of a assembly plant in India as well. With the assembly facility in India, the cars produced by it will be able to be priced in a more affordable way.
