Volvo V40 India launch set for tomorrow!
Volvo Auto India, 100 percent subsidiary of Swedish carmaker Volvo will be launching its much awaited Volvo V40 Cross Country in country tomorrow. Launch programme of the luxury Crossover will be held at Volvo's new showroom in Gurgaon. It is reported that, Volvo V40, which is basically an off-roading SUV version of the V40 hatch will be a the most affordable vehicle from the stable of Volvo India and it will stand up against both luxury hatchbacks and compact luxury SUVs in domestic market.

Yet, the company has not announced about the price of vehicle but in addition to lure maximum customers it expected to be priced between Rs 25 lakh and Rs 30 lakh. In terms of pricing and features the new Volvo V40 Cross Country will be a major rival of BMW X1 and Audi Q3 in the segment. Meanwhile, the newly launched Mercedes Benz A Class and new forthcoming BMW 1 Series luxury hatchbacks will also be getting heat from it. To win the heart of both- fuel efficiency and performance lovers, the Swedish auto giant is throwing Cross Country in both petrol and diesel engine options.

Its petrol version will have a 1.6-litre petrol motor under the cap that churns out max power of 180bhp. It is mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. Meanwhile, the diesel trim of the beast is powered by a 2.0-litre D3 Diesel engine that is capable of belting out peak power of 148bhp. Its diesel engine model will have a six-speed automatic transmission system. The new V40 Cross Country will be one of the safest cars in the segment equipped with many of innovative safety and comfort features which promise to offer impressive driving experience.
